    Mr van Bavel will be attending the American academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Conference In San Diego In March 2017. This is the largest Orthopaedic conference in the world. Here he will be be presenting his research looking at 230,000 hip replacements performed in Australia over a 15 year period. The research shows a significantly lower revision rate (failure rate) of hip replacements when a cemented stem is used over a cementless stem.
